Tonya Appleby, CRNP
Tonya attended The Johns Hopkins University and graduated in 2001 with a Masters of Science in Nursing and is an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She has been working for Team Health Associates in the Emergency Department at Good Samaritan Hospital for the past eight years, and is a part time clinical faculty for the University of Maryland School of Nursing in the Trauma, Critical Care, & Emergency Nursing CNS and ACNP program. She is also co-owner of Lasting Impression Aesthetic Center. She is interested in a position at NPAM because she believes the that now is the time for nurse practitioners at the local and national level to have a voice in healthcare reform, and believes that our network of nurse practitioners can and will develop new solutions to provide access to care for those who are uninsured and for those who are underinsured. She is hopeful that at a local and grassroots level it is possible to develop a strategic plan to "cure" our ailing health care system. She lives in Perryville, MD.

Helga Von Dolsen started her education in 1977 with an AA degree from Prince George’s Community College, became a Nurse Practitioner in 1981with a certificate from University of Maryland, followed with a BSN and MSN from Bowie State University, and completed her education with a PhD in Holistic Health Sciences from Clayton College of Natural Health in 2003. She has been an active educator, teaching at Catholic University of America and Bowie State University. She has worked in various settings as a Nurse Practitioner, with a focus in primary care, preventive care, and occupational health care. She is currently employed in a Primary Care Practice in Bowie, MD, where she continues to promote prevention and wellness. She lives in Edgewater, MD.

Dale G. Reddish MSN, FNP-BC
Dale is a 1979 graduate of the MacQueen Gibbs Willis School of Nursing in Easton, MD. She obtained her BSN from Wilmington University in 1996 and her MSN from Wilmington University in 1998. She is a Family Nurse Practitioner with a specialty in Women’s Health. Dale is currently employed full time as the Program Coordinator for Women’s Prevention & Wellness Services at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, MD and also provides care to the medically underserved and non-English speaking patients in the Wellness for Women Komen Grant program at Shore Health Systems in Easton, MD. In addition, Dale serves as adjunct faculty in the Nurse Practitioner program at Wilmington University in Georgetown, DE. She lives in Easton, MD.

Mary Beth graduated from Niagara University College of Nursing in1980. She received her MSN in Medical-Surgical Nursing with an Administration Concentration in 1988 from University of Maryland School of Nursing. She earned a Post-Masters Certification Nurse Practitioner degree in 1995 from Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing.
Mary Beth lives in Columbia, MD. She is employed by Maggin, Margolis, Moy and Tadikonda in Laurel, MD---a private practice in Internal Medicine.

Diane graduated from North Dakota State University and went on to a graduate NP program at Emory University. She is a family Nurse Practitioner and is currently employed at Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, MD. She lives in Clarksville, MD.

Susan McMullen, MSN
Susan McMullen RN, MSN, CRNP is certified as both an Adult and Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her BSN from University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She then attended New York University in the MA in Nursing program, and then transferred to California State University in Los Angeles where she received her MSN. She taught Nursing at both the Baccalaureate and Masters level at Azusa Pacific University and California State University Los Angeles. She then attended California State University Long Beach for her post masters Adult Geriatric Nurse Practitioner Program. She has worked as a NP in a variety of settings including college health, Emergency Room, Family Practice, Gastroenterology and Urgent Care. She received her second post masters Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner from WVU in 2007. She currently works for the Western Maryland Health System in their Community Clinics, and continues to do consulting work in gastroenterology and home care. She has served as past president of the Western Maryland Nurse Practitioner Caucus.

Marcia Bowers, MS
Marcia Bowers, MS, CRNP, is certified as an adult nurse practitioner. She received her BSN from Towson State University in 1993 and her MS from University of Maryland in 2004.
Marcia has worked in primary care for 5 years in both independent practice and currently at Johns Hopkins Hospital .

Marian Grant, BSN, MSN, DNP
Marian Grant, RN, CRNP, DNP (c) is certified both as an acute care and palliative care/hospice nurse practitioner. She got her BSN from Johns Hopkins in 2000 and her MSN from their Acute Care program in 2005. She is currently completing her DNP at the University of Maryland and will graduate in May, 2010.
Marian has worked as an RN in the ED and MICU and as an NP on the palliative care consult team at Bayview hospital. She is currently an NP at the Gilchrist hospice in Towson , working in their in-patient unit. She has also worked as a research coordinator on an NIH study about kidney donors.
She has been a member of NPAM since she was an NP student in 2004. She is also a member of the national Hospice and Palliative Nurses association and ANA. She lives in Reisterstown . Before becoming a nurse, Marian had a 20 year career as a marketing executive at Procter & Gamble. Her last assignments there were on the Cover Girl and Max Factor businesses.
