The Urology Department is recruiting for a Nurse Practitioner to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team to manage pre and post operative care of urology patients. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: patient evaluation and treatment, documentation and facilitating admission and discharge of urology patients. Requirements:

• Master’s degree from an accredited school of nursing

• Completion of accredited NP program

• Current Requested Nurse licensure in the state of Maryland

• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the state of Maryland

• Advanced acute care clinical skills in urology and/or the desire to assist in the Operating Room as a Registered Nurse First Assistant is preferred

The Neuroscience Department is recruiting for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a multidisciplinary team from Neurology and Neurosurgery, with two Medical Office Coordinators and a Program Coordinator.  The PA or NP will evaluate patients referred for Adult Hydrocephalus or Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension through clinical examination, perform diagnostic procedures and tests and provide therapeutic patient care under direction of a physician and in accordance with established protocols.

 

Requirements:

• Completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program

• 0-12 months related experience

• Comprehensive understanding of clinical and/or surgical procedures, patient care procedures, medical protocols and testing procedures

• Understand and ability to document

• Knowledge of medical terminology, Anatomy, Physiology, Chemistry, Psychology, Pharmacology, Clinical Medicine, Radiology, Microbiology and Pathology
