NPAM Conference A Success

A huge thank you to all who helped make Research, Policy, and Practice a success. About 80 NPs attended this one-day event at University of Maryland School of Nursing that awarded 7.25 CEUs. We had 13 speakers who donated their time and expertise to present evidence-based sessions. Thank you to Dominique Ashen, Sandi Nettina, Susan Delean-Botkin, Barbara Galen, Craig Coleman, Joan Ohayon, Jonathan Calure, Julie Stanik-Hutt, Susan Appling, Michael Ritmiller, Susan Renda, Loretta Colvin, and Mary Ripple. Thank you to St. Jude Medical who provided a grant for Dr. Sunil Sinha to present on syncope. A huge thank you to Dr. Jonathan Calure and Maryland Vein Professionals for paying for the cost of breakfast and lunch for the day.

We also appreciate our exhibitors: Bristol-Meyer Squibb, Cardionet, Comprehensive Geriatric Services, Gilead Sciences, Johns Hopkins Hospital, Neosom, Sanofi Aventis, Biogen, Boehringer-Ingelheim, King Pharmaceuticals, Kyphon/Medronic, Merck, Newbridge Spine & Pain Center, Pfizer and St. Jude Medical.

Everyone who attended thought the conference committee did a great job. Hats off to Karen Minor, conference chair, and her committee including Mickey Cooper, Doreen Paynter, Faye Koerner, Cathy Chapman, Diane Padden, and Deb Woodard-Bayes.
