Health Care Policy and Practice: The Maryland Patient and You

The Nurse Practitioner Association of Maryland (NPAM)  will be sponsoring their third annual continuing education conference - Health Care Policy and Practice:  The Maryland Patient and You  on Saturday November 12, 2011 at the Sheraton Inner Harbor, Baltimore, MD  The conference is unique because it focuses on the practice issues and policies that shape the role of all nurse practitioners in Maryland and the effects on our patients rather than a clinical focus.  The issues discussed affect NPs in all settings, including primary care, acute care, women’s health, mental health, specialty practice, and long term care.. A broad sampling of the topics to be explored include: Coding, Billing and Reimbursement; Malpractice; Regulations that affect special practice settings; Medicare Issues;  Entrepreneurship and NP Practices; State Regulations and independent practice. We anticipate awarding 8 CEU's for this one day conference and making it a great learning and networking experience.
